Grief

Are you feeling sadness, loss or emptiness? Are you feeling hopelessly stuck? All these may be part of your grief. Grief is such an individual process it is difficult to generalize and yet there are common themes that we can work together on.

When you lose a parent it can often seem like you've lost a "safety net" even if that parent has not been physically or mentally able to support you in a long time. Somehow becoming the "top" generation can lead to significant identity shift, sometimes painfully.

Other griefs include loss of a job, a spouse, a child, a promotion at work or perhaps a physical disability. Any of these can be the "last straw" when it comes to maintaining your equilibrium. This is a signal it's time to get some help with someone like me.
